Essa with rifle

This is the cover illo for a client's science fiction novel. I'll post up the info on the book later, but this is his character Essa, who's a tough girl in her early teens who takes on her foes with a "smart" rifle and a "smartsuit". I did the drawing back in '12, but finally finished the color version this year. Damn, I'm slow...

At any rate, Essa's look is a little different from my normal style, at least I think so.

Drawn in carmine red, inked in Manga Studio, and colored in Photoshop. Enjoy and comment!
