Description
This is actually the third drawing I did in my sketchbook during my stay in the hospital recovering from a serious bout of pneumonia. Don't ask what it all means--I have no idea myself, but the image came to mind and somehow I was able to put it down on paper and stay relatively close to what I had pictured in my head. Maybe I can put together a quick story behind it all....
There are flaws in it, to be sure, but I still like it a lot (and so did some of the hospital staff and a roomate--I ended up giving him a copy). I may color this in the not-too-distant future, but hopefully sooner than later.

Man, pneumonia is no joke. Had pneumonia myself about five years ago and the coughing was so bad I ended up hemorrhaging - tore my abdominal cavity almost right up to my ribs; just one of many possible complications from pneumonia. Took surgery to put me back together. I'm glad they were able to cure you with less radical means.
At least you kept busy. Glad you're feeling better, too! Watch yourself from now on - a little thing you ignore can turn into a big thing pretty damn fast!
