New Trio 2015

So...what's the story behind this sketch?  Well...it was the first drawing I'd done in my sketchbook in months, and the first of 2015, and I began it a couple of days before I had to go the hospital to be treated for pneumonia.  Thankfully, I was able to get my sketchbook and a few other items delivered to me early on during my stay, and I ended up finishing this.  It did catch the attention of some of the hospital staff and my roomate (who was a very cool dude--he made sure to point out my sketches when his wife and son visited, and we all ended up spending a great evening talking about stuff). 

As it turns out, I ended up doing three sketches during my stay in the hospital--of course, it's a helluva thing to have such an event trigger a period of drawing, but it certainly helped a lot during my recovery.
